Info
SOAK, the project of Derry-born songwriter Bridie Monds-Watson, plays Empire Music Hall in Belfast on February 17, 2027. Expect a set built around intimate storytelling where the voice sits front and center, carried by guitar-led indie folk and hazy dream-pop textures.
From the early, uncluttered melancholy of Before We Forgot How to Dream to the sharper edges and bigger palette heard on Grim Town, SOAK’s songs keep a direct, conversational feel while moving through different shades of alternative pop. The more recent writing leans into cleaner melodies and flexible rhythms, without dropping the introspective core.
Live, it’s the kind of show that pulls you close: coming-of-age details, identity questions, and emotional knots turned into simple lines that hit fast. A night for anyone who likes their pop understated, personal, and shaped by real-life tension rather than big gestures.
