Info
Ax and the Hatchetmen land in London for a show at The Dome on May 12, 2027, bringing their Chicago-bred mix of indie rock, alt rock and power-pop hooks. Built around Axel Ellis and a tight six-piece lineup, the band stands out for the way brass parts thread through the songs, pushing them beyond straight guitar-band dynamics and giving the choruses extra lift.
Expect punchy, direct songwriting with jangly pop edges, a bit of garage snap, and that melodic indie sensibility that keeps things moving fast without feeling rushed. Their recent run of releases has tracked that constant evolution, from early EP work to the more road-tested energy of their live recordings and the momentum of their debut album era. If you’re into bands that can switch from clean, bright riffs to tense, driving sections while keeping the crowd locked on the chorus, this is the night for it.
