Rockers By Choice

The Last Handshakes & High-Fives

Rockers By Choice embark on their final club tour after 12 years without live performances. Denmark's first rap band, Rockers By Choice, return to the stage in early 2028. The hip-hop legends promise plenty of energy on what will be an undeniably final run on the arena circuit, while also breathing new life into the ghettoblaster with their first new single in 24 years: Ghettoblaster.

After more than 12 years of silence on the live scene, albeit with brief detours (Amager Bio), the wait is over. The country's original hip-hop pioneers have heard fans' constant call and have decided to assemble the band for a final club tour in early 2028. It will be the ultimate opportunity to experience Amager boys live, receive the last handshakes and exchange the last high-fives with the band that, together with MC Einar, started the first Danish hip-hop wave in the late 1980s.

New single after a 24-year pause

Parallel with the tour, Rockers By Choice also breaks the musical silence in the studio. The band releases the single Ghettoblaster, their first official new release in 24 years, reviving the classic, heavy old-school vibe updated for the present.

When Rockers By Choice broke through with Opråb! Til det danske folk i 1989, they changed Danish music history and showed that rap in the mother tongue could fill everything from dance floors to hit lists. With classics such as Engel and Nej til narkotika, they cemented themselves as pioneers. When the tour bus rolls out in early 2028, it will be with raw energy, nostalgic beats and a strong push on the records. This is now, if you want to experience the pioneers behind the microphones one last time. Portalen in Greve welcomes Rockers By Choice on January 21, 2028 at 7:00 PM.
