Info
On September 30, 2027, Lebanon Hanover will perform at Melkweg in Amsterdam, presenting their minimalist mix of post-punk and cold wave. The Swiss-British duo Larissa Iceglass and William Maybelline has been crafting songs since the early 2010s that lean on repetitive basslines, tight, almost mechanical rhythms, and vocals that keep their distance without becoming cold. The atmosphere sits somewhere between new wave and the dark edge of the eighties, with a sober aesthetic that feels particularly sharp live.
For those who know them from early records such as The World Is Getting Colder, Why Not Just Be Solo, and Tomb For Two, that distinctive tension arc returns: hypnotic motor rhythm, piercing guitars, and the occasional synth layers that give the whole a touch more space. Later works such as Besides the Abyss, Let Them Be Alien, and Sci Fi Sky allow more melancholy and airiness, without relinquishing their austere signature. Expect a set that centers on drive, shadow, and focus.
