Info
Wanda brings his German-language rock to the Melkweg in Amsterdam on April 17, 2027, with that characteristic Viennese swing and a set that sits between indie rock, rock 'n' roll and Austropop. Around singer and rhythm guitarist Marco Wanda, the band has since 2012 built a direct, melodic sound: tense guitars, refrains that linger from the first listen, and lyrics that make the smallest everyday moment as momentous as a breakup. After breakthrough albums such as Amore and Bussi, Wanda continued to seek a balance between rawness and pop, with later works such as Wanda and Ende nie in which that live presence remains central. The recent history also resonates: after the loss of keyboardist Christian Hummer, the band found renewed momentum in new material. Expect a concert that embraces romance and edge, just as Wanda has been doing for years.
