Info
On March 27, 2027, at Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom, Vacations bring their “Pursuit Of Anything Tour” with that unmistakable Australian blend of jangly guitars and soft-focus indie rock. Born out of the mid-2010s bedroom-pop wave, the band’s songs lean on clean, ringing lines, supple bass and a kind of detached, late-night vocal delivery that turns melancholy into something easy to carry. From the early pull of Vibes to the more structured glow of Changes, and the wider palette heard on Forever In Bloom and No Place Like Home, the set should move between short, direct tracks and hazier atmospheres, always with that nostalgic tint.
Opening the night, Twen channel their Boston-to-Nashville DIY roots into a tighter, punchier mix of indie rock, dream pop and psych-tinged pop. Built around Jane Fitzsimmons’ voice and Ian Jones’ guitar and production, their songwriting plays with sharp hooks, electric tension and cloudy textures, shifting from the Awestruck era to the more contrasted, chorus-forward drive of One Stop Shop and Fate Euphoric.
