Info
On May 19, 2027, at Band on the Wall in Manchester, LOVE with Johnny Echols brings the songs of Arthur Lee’s Los Angeles legacy back to the stage, with founding guitarist Johnny Echols at the center. The set is built around Forever Changes, performed in full for its 60th anniversary, then expands into key tracks from Love, Da Capo, and Four Sail, with room for deeper cuts and a couple of curveballs along the way.
This lineup isn’t about reenactment: it’s a living, road-tested band that treats these arrangements with the snap, tension, and melodic bite that made Love stand out in the first place—sharp guitars, vocal harmonies, and that uneasy beauty that runs through the catalogue. Joined by musicians linked to the later revival of this repertoire, Echols steers the night with the same mix of R&B grounding and psychedelic color that shaped the original recordings, reconnecting classic material with a crowd that now spans longtime fans and first-timers.
