Info
Kraak & Smaak head to SPOT/De Oosterpoort in Groningen on 9 April 2027 with their signature blend of funk, soul and club culture. The Leiden-based trio Oscar de Jong, Wim Plug and Mark Kneppers have been crafting a sound since the early 2000s that seamlessly threads nu-disco, house, broken beat and electronic pop together, always with that organic groove and melodic basslines at the forefront.
Live, Kraak & Smaak lie somewhere between tight studio electronics and band energy: danceable, but with room for detail and atmosphere. Expect tracks that work just as well on the dancefloor as in headphones, with that typical blend of warm synths, funky rhythms and soulful vocals. With albums such as Boogie Angst, Plastic People and Electric Hustle, and recent work up to Scirocco, they take you through both uptempo club moments and more downtempo passages, without losing the flow.
