Info
On February 12, 2027, Escape The Internet II lands at O2 Academy Islington in London with a line-up built for people who like their instruments pushed to the front. Bernth brings his precise, riff-heavy blend of instrumental metal and progressive rock, where speed and clean articulation meet more melodic, neoclassical flashes. Mike Dawes comes in from the acoustic side with fingerstyle arrangements that cram melody, bass and percussion into one steel-string guitar, switching between original pieces and reworked favorites with the ease of a seasoned live player.
On bass, Charles Berthoud turns the instrument into a full band: chords, harmonics, percussive hits and two-handed tapping, moving between rock energy, jazz-fusion detail and a more compositional, almost classical sense of structure. With Ola Englund completing the bill, the night promises a tight sequence of solo-focused performances, technical without losing the point: songs, sound, and the pleasure of seeing musicians build worlds with just their hands and a few strings.
