Paul Kalkbrenner returns to Amsterdam on 22 October 2026 for ADE, with a live set at Theater Amsterdam. The Berlin-based producer has long been a fixture in techno, but remains best known for the way he builds his music live: not a DJ set that leans on other people's tracks, but a performance with machines in which grooves, melodies and details take shape on the spot.
Since breaking through in the 2000s, with albums conceived more and more as a single entity, he balances between tight club energy and an emotional undercurrent. Those who mainly know him from Berlin Calling and the period around Sky and Sand will have the chance here to hear that recognizable, deeply rolling sound up close again, played out as it should be: direct, human and fully in the moment.
