Info
On October 21, 2026, Elder Island land at The Globe in Cardiff with their hybrid of indie pop and electronic music, built for both the stage and the late-night pull of the dancefloor. The Bristol trio shape songs in layers: supple rhythms, a bassline that does a lot of the talking, airy synth textures, and Katy Sargent’s voice sitting right at the center, keeping the emotional thread clear even when the grooves get dense.
If you’ve followed their path from early EPs to the broader, more expansive feel of The Omnitone Collection and Swimming Static, you’ll recognize that balance they do so well: songwriting that stays direct, wrapped in downtempo atmospheres with flashes of funk and club energy. Expect a set that moves between punchy, rhythmic moments and more nocturnal, detail-heavy passages, with space for the tracks to breathe and evolve live. Special guests are also on the bill.
