Info
On October 11, 2026, Mica Millar brings her Manchester-bred soul to City Halls & Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow, with a show built around the warm, live-first sound she’s been shaping on stage across the UK and beyond. As a singer, songwriter and producer, she moves in a lane where jazz, blues and gospel meet classic soul, with tight vocal harmonies and a taste for retro textures that never feel like costume.
Her debut album Heaven Knows (2022), which she wrote, arranged and produced herself and later mastered at Abbey Road, sets the tone: contemporary soul with organic orchestration, drawing on the spirit of 60s and 70s African-American music while staying rooted in the present. Lyrically, she leans into big human themes without theatrics: love, spirituality, power, oppression, and the everyday weight of social inequality. Expect a set that breathes, with room for nuance, groove, and a voice that does the heavy lifting.
