I almost titled this show "The Pleasure." And then I told myself that the only pleasures one would think of in front of a title like that would be the pleasures forbidden to those under 18. However, for financial reasons, I want under-18s to be able to attend my show as well. So I called it "Delicious."
In an hour and a quarter, I will try to untangle the complexity of what provokes pleasure in human beings. Of course, pleasure can come from a glass of chasselas that you let linger along the lake's edge in the spring. But it can also be provoked by the death of someone you do not love. Of course, an unexpected promotion within the company can bring joy. But also the act of eating Gruyère cheese in Gruyères, or knowing, when you are French, that you do not pronounce the "z" in Étivaz (which allows us to gleefully correct all the fools who make the mistake).
My objective is that this show provokes in you a certain pleasure, in a mise en abyme as delicious as eating Gruyère cheese in Gruyères.
