Alune Wade
Album release
Having trained from childhood in Dakar under his father, a conductor of a symphony orchestra, Alune Wade has established himself as one of the most sought-after bassists on the African scene. A longtime collaborator of Ismaël Lô, Youssou N'Dour, and Marcus Miller, he has built a solo body of work blending jazz, Cuban music, Senegalese folk, and Afrobeat, where every encounter becomes an ingredient.

Agon
As the opening act, Agon (Allafi François) lets the rising voice of Chad's Afro-pop be heard. Born in N'Djamena, he was revealed in the N'DjamVi contest and later represented Chad at The Voice Afrique Francophone, drawing from the melodies of his Chagoua neighborhood to build a universe between Afro rhythms, pop, and Indian-inspired sounds, sung in Nandjéré, in Lélé, and in local Arabic. Two generations, two Africas: the established one, of a bassist who has toured the world, and the rising one, of a Chad-born voice beginning its own.
