Jack de Marseille
A pioneer of electronic music, Jack de Marseille contributed to the emergence of the French electronic scene both as a DJ, producer, and owner of the Wicked Music label.
Since the late 1980s, he has performed in clubs and at festivals such as Astropolis, Nuits Sonores, Awakenings, Time Warp, Sonar, the Love Parade in Berlin, and Yinyang on the Great Wall of China. He co-organized "Atomix," among the first rave parties in Marseille in 1992, and he was the first DJ to participate in the tour for Daft Punk's first album. Open to diverse milieus, he has scored fashion shows devoted to Paco Rabanne, Castelbajac, and Jean-Paul Gaultier, and appears on the soundtrack of the stage version of Trainspotting.
He was elected Best French DJ by the magazines dedicated to electronic music and cultures, Coda and Trax. In the 2000s, he entered the Top 100 International DJs, a ranking published by Max magazine. In 2015, he founded the Jack in the Box festival.
