On January 15, 2027, Chinese American Bear arrive in Milan, at Circolo Arci Bellezza, with their bilingual pop that blends Mandarin and English without ever feeling like a mere exercise in style. Behind the name are Lingbo Anne Tong and Bryce Barsten, a couple in life and in the studio: songs born in an intimate, intercultural context, between C-pop and indie pop, with a touch of light neo-psychedelia, bright melodies and hooks that go straight to the point.
From their 2020 debut to the breakthrough with 'Hao Ma', the duo has continued to build a world increasingly recognizable: from the self-titled album of 2022 to Wah!!! (2024), up to Dim Sum & Then Some (2026), where the writing remains direct and personal, threaded with themes such as childhood, language, family and food. Live shows are the perfect occasion to hear them transform that domestic, dreamlike dimension into a compact set, made of pop details and mood shifts.
