Gnags return to the big stages as the band performs at Royal Arena, Copenhagen, on April 15, 2027. With roots in Aarhus and a history dating back to the 1960s, Gnags has for decades brought rock, pop and reggae together in an expression that is both down-to-earth and full of movement.
The core remains Peter A.G. Nielsen's voice and songwriting, where the narrative lyrics often carry a societal angle, without compromising the danceable rhythms. Live, Gnags has always had a particular grasp of the sense of community in the room: brass, groove and choruses you quickly find yourself singing along to, and a concert form that balances playfulness with sharp songs.
The evening in Copenhagen will be a meeting with a band that has moved from early, organic soundscapes to more synth-driven textures and later to a more mature rock expression—but still sounds like itself once they hit the stage.
