On December 20, 2026, Ripe bring their groove-first pop-soul to The Opera House in Toronto. Born in Boston in 2011 and shaped by years of road-tested gigs, the band is built around frontman Robbie Wulfsohn’s elastic vocals, with guitarist Jon Becker, drummer Sampson Hellerman and trombonist Calvin Barthel keeping the band’s brass-and-rhythm punch front and center. Their sound sits where funk, alt-pop and pop-rock overlap: tight rhythms, big choruses, and arrangements that leave real space for instruments to talk back.
Expect a set that moves between the early, jam-friendly energy that put them on the map and the cleaner, more pop-leaning direction of Bright Blues, without losing that live-band snap.
