On December 5, 2026, The Funk Hunters bring their “Funk The Halls” session to Midway Music Hall in Edmonton, with the Vancouver duo’s trademark mix built for bodies in motion. Nick Middleton and Duncan Smith have been shaping their sound since 2009, sitting right at the intersection of electro, future funk and glitch hop, with soul, disco and hip-hop running through the grooves.
Expect a DJ-driven show where heavy bass lines, tight breakbeats and funk textures snap into place, but without losing the songwriting instinct: choruses that stick, samples that nod to classic Black music, and a flow that moves fast between styles without feeling like a mash-up.
From early edits and their Fully Loaded series to albums like Typecast and Music w/Friends, they’ve kept refining a dancefloor language that works in clubs and on big festival systems alike. This Edmonton date is a chance to catch that global, road-tested energy in a proper room, up close and loud.
