On January 13, 2027, in Rome, Max Pezzali arrives at the Palazzo dello Sport with “Max Forever – Stessa Storia, Stesso Posto, Stesso Bar,” a date tailor-made to dive back into the simple, narrative writing that has marked his career. Revealed in the early 1990s as the voice and lyricist of the duo and then the group 883, he helped shape melodic Italian pop, nourished by light rock and very concrete life scenes: the provinces, enduring friendships, love stories without grand speeches. Albums that became touchstones such as Hanno ucciso l’Uomo Ragno (1992) or Nord, sud, ovest, est (1993), up to the heyday of 883, his universe was built on direct choruses and everyday details. As a solo artist, from the 2000s onward, Pezzali continues in this pop/pop-rock vein, alternating studio records and live projects, from Il mondo insieme a te (2004) to Qualcosa di nuovo (2020). On stage, he brings back this blend of lucid nostalgia and collective energy, with songs meant to be sung together, by several people, without overstating things.
