Automatic hails from Los Angeles with its dancefloor-ready, synthetic post-punk. Tight bass, dry drums, and minimalist keyboards underpin the sound. At the center, Izzy Glaudini (vocals, synths) and Halle Saxon (vocals, bass) carry a cold, tense pop where irony and political insight ride on the groove. Born on the Californian DIY scene, the trio built itself on taut, repetitive tracks, then gradually opened its writing toward more direct formats, without losing that taste for punchy lines and offbeat choruses. With Is It Now?, Automatic continues this trajectory: short songs, rhythmic urgency, and lyrics that address the automation of warfare, consumerism, and the grip of oil. On September 1, 2026, at Le Chinois in Montreuil, the band will present this new chapter, somewhere between no wave, indie rock, and retro-futurist pop, with this simple idea: move bodies while keeping their eyes open.
