Planète Boum Boum is a techno-activist collective that blends electro beats, protest atmospheres, and politically engaged yet offbeat lyrics. Originating from citizen movements for ecology and social justice, Planète Boum Boum rose to prominence during the 2023 protests against pension reform, with a festive procession uniting associations, unions, and citizens. Its slogans chanted over techno beats, popularized notably by MC Danse pour le Climat, have had thousands dancing in the streets. Since then, the collective has been developing an engaged musical project: bringing the party into demonstrations and the spirit of demonstrations into parties. Their tracks blend slogans, popular songs, and rap with influences from electroclash, eurodance, house, and techno, with a satirical, festive, and offbeat tone.
