On August 16, 2026, S.Society sets up its turntables at Le Sucre in Lyon, with two artists who love pushing boundaries.
Maelita opens the night with sets conceived as collisions between genres. She moves gracefully between IDM, acid house, drum & bass, breakbeat and trance, with a sense of pacing that keeps the tension throughout. Her selections play on contrasts, swing from precision to impact, and tell above all one shared desire: to share electronic music that is curious, free, and not confined to a single camp.
The evening continues with Nicola Cruz, a DJ and producer born in France and raised in Ecuador, whose music builds a bridge between club environments and more organic soundscapes. Downtempo, house, ambient pads and rhythms inspired by Andean traditions mingle in a percussion-driven, hypnotic, ever-moving writing. In his DJ set, he unfurls patiently crafted trajectories, where textures take their time and where dance feeds as much on repetition as on detail.
