Spike Fuck is an artist from Melbourne, a figure on the Australian independent scene. Revealed in the late 2010s with The Smackwave EP, he immediately establishes a singular aesthetic where dark synth-pop, disenchanted post-punk, and raw lyricism intersect.
His writing unflinchingly addresses the themes of addiction, gender, love, and downfall, with a frankness that marks contemporary music. On stage, Spike Fuck captivates with a bare, unadorned presence, accompanied by a simple backing track and a vocal intensity that is both fragile and cutting.
After a long disappearance marked by rumors and a voluntary retreat, he returns with a more embodied musical direction, supported by a live band. His new compositions broaden the spectrum: 1970s glam influences, wounded soul, battered rock, with a constant tension between chaos and clarity.
