Matilda Mann returns with Kismet, her second album, a record billed as a concentrated collection of luminous songs about life and love, straddling delicate folk-pop and skin-deep indie folk. Born in London and trained at the BRIT School, she has since the late 2010s honed a very direct writing, driven by a guitar at the forefront, spare arrangements and a hushed voice that leaves room for the details of daily life, doubts and impulses.
On September 4, 2026, she celebrates the release with an intimate set at Resident Music in Brighton. It will be an opportunity to rediscover that knack for short, catchy melodies that runs through her EPs and her debut album Roxwell, and to see how Kismet extends this vein: songs that feel close, simple, about relationships and suspended moments, without going overboard.
