If you’re into post-hardcore that loves to push the boundaries, Hail The Sun is coming to Belfast on November 3, 2026, at the Limelight. Formed in 2009 in Chico, California, the band has built its signature on a nerve-wracking blend of post-hardcore, prog, math rock, and screamo, with rhythm shifts that land squarely and guitars that bite right to the core.
At the center, Donovan Melero leads the charge with a high-pitched, nervy vocal delivery, while delivering an ultra-structured drum performance. Around him, Shane Gann, Aric Garcia, and John Stirrat have kept a stable lineup since the band's inception, something you can hear in the way they string melodic tension and technical precision together without losing impact.
From POW! Right in the Kisser! to Wake, then Culture Scars, Mental Knife, and the more recent New Age Filth and Divine Inner Tension, Hail The Sun advances with dense, direct songwriting: it accelerates, it veers, and it lands back on its feet, always serving a tight and intense live format.
