If Solann's name has been circulating for a few years, it's because she has managed to impose a very direct writing style and music that cuts to the bone, somewhere between neofolk and French chanson. Born in Paris and shaped by a multidisciplinary career, she composes first on guitar and then on piano, with a taste for spare arrangements that leave ample room for the words.
In her recent titles and projects, from the EP Monstrueuse to her albums Si on sombre ce sera beau and Si on sombre ce sera beau (promis), Solann fearlessly explores the body, the night, class relations, femininity and what that implies within a still very patriarchal framework. On stage, she transforms this tension into songs that strike true, carried by a voice that can stay fragile without losing substance.
Solann will be performing at La Manufacture in Saint-Quentin on 19 November 2026.
