André Manoukian and Rosemary Standley reunite on stage for 'La Vie Secrète des Chansons,' a format that blends performance, voice and storytelling around what lies behind the songs: how a melody is born, how a lyric sits, and what the music reveals when you dismantle it and replay it differently. On 14 March 2027 at the Salle des Fêtes Aristide Briand in Saint-Chamond, the pianist moves between jazz, erudite harmonies and oriental-hued detours, with that improvisational sensibility that lets the themes breathe. Across from him, Rosemary Standley brings a rare presence and precision. Known for Moriarty and her more stripped-down projects, she ranges from folk to chanson, from standards to French-language lyrics, with a sculpted diction and a very direct way of conveying the words. Together, they lean into intimacy: songs that shift in lighting, arrangements that open up, and a musical conversation where one listens as much to what is said as to what is sung.
