Pierpoljak returns to the stage with his distinctive blend of reggae roots, ragga, and French-language chanson, driven by catchy refrains, bass lines that hit where it counts, and occasional forays into Jamaican patois. Born in Paris, after a period with punk before drawing closer to Jamaican culture, he has since the 1990s built a repertoire of everyday chronicles, road narratives, and more introspective themes, balancing urban sensibility with Kingston's influence.
On stage, Pierpoljak favors the energy of a live performance, with a smooth flow and direct writing that keeps French at the center, without severing his reggae roots.
