On September 18, 2026, Jesse & Joy will bring their El Despecho Tour to L’Olympia in Montreal. The brother-sister duo formed in Mexico by Jesse and Joy Huerta has been drawing a clear line since 2005 between Latin pop, folk, and acoustic pop rock, carried by Joy’s luminous voice, tight harmonies, and writing that goes straight to the heart without overdoing it. On stage, their formula rests on singing, piano, and guitar, with that sense of melody that has broadened their audience on both sides of the Atlantic.
From their beginnings in the mid-2000s to more recent albums such as Aire and Clichés, Jesse & Joy have refined a direct and emotional sound, between ballads and more rhythmic tracks, often traversed by an unapologetic bilingualism. Their career is also punctuated by notable collaborations and awards, but it is especially live that their rapport takes on its full dimension, between sweetness, pop tension, and choruses to be sung along in unison.
