UK artist mustbejohn lands at Green Door Store in Brighton on December 1, 2026 with a set built on sharp, everyday storytelling and sticky, forward-leaning production. Sitting somewhere between indie-alternative, pop and melodic spoken word, his songs take city life as their main subject: nights out, friendships, messy transitions, and the small details that end up saying the most.
After early tracks that helped define his straight-to-the-point style, 2025 marked a clearer turn toward a bolder indie-alternative sound, notably around the EP Hope Came Last. You can hear the lineage in the way he balances observation and hooks, with nods to the British edge of The Streets and Arctic Monkeys, plus a more elastic, genre-hopping approach that brings Gorillaz to mind.
