Biga Ranx, aka Gabriel Piotrowski, lands in Amsterdam for a live show that blends reggae, dancehall and hip-hop influences, with his laid-back vocal timbre and productions often cut for the sound system. Hailing from Tours, he built himself a solid Jamaican-influenced culture early on, fed as much by classics like Alton Ellis as by the energy of Vybz Kartel, while openly cherishing US rap.
On stage, he moves between punchy tracks and hazier vibes, playing with the bass, catchy hooks and a very free approach to delivery. After his beginnings in the sound system scene and collaborations that took him well beyond France, he has proven himself with albums like On Time and then Good Morning Midnight, and continues to establish his distinctive style, between digital songwriting and futuristic reggae.
