On July 4, 2026, Notion takes to the decks at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver for an afterparty that’s shaping up to be club-ready. The Bristol-based DJ and producer follows his instincts, in the grand lineage of British scenes: bouncing UK garage, tense bassline, direct house and breaks that cut the tempo cleanly, always with a taste for thick bass and tempos that accelerate the night without warning.
Active since the early 2010s, Notion has carved out a place by navigating between bass music and more upfront formats, designed as much for large venues as for tougher sound systems. In his sets, vocal samples emerge as hooks, between rave energy and immediate efficiency, with a knack for mixing that builds pressure layer by layer. Between original tracks, remixes and edits (via his Dance Dubs project), he lays out a dense selection, crafted to keep the dancefloor moving until the last kick.
