Nerina Pallot, London-born singer-songwriter, develops a writing style nourished by pop, folk-rock and piano ballads, with a taste for direct melodies and simple arrangements. After musical training in London, Nerina Pallot released a first album, Dear Frustrated Superstar, in 2001, before continuing her career more independently. This second start took shape with Fires in 2005, an album where acoustic pop, light rock and more introspective songs cross paths, and which established Nerina Pallot in the British music scene, notably with Everybody’s Gone to War and Sophia.
She also appeared on Truly by Delerium, then released the albums The Graduate in 2009, Year of the Wolf in 2011, The Sound and the Fury in 2015, Stay Lucky in 2017 and I Don’t Know What I’m Doing in 2022. Over the years, Nerina Pallot has alternated between label releases and self-production, while keeping a writing format centred on voice, piano and guitar. Her music moves between pop, contemporary folk and soft rock touches, with often personal, ironic or melancholic lyrics, and a regular presence on British stages, in tours and as opening act for other artists.
