As It Is and Greywind meet up on September 12, 2026 at La Belle Angele in Edinburgh, for an evening where pop-punk and emo cross paths unabashedly.
Led by Patty Walters, As It Is has carved out a space with a highly melodic writing style inherited from the 2000s, between immediate choruses and lyrics that speak of uncertainties, relationships, and mental health. From their debut album Never Happy, Ever After to I Went To Hell And Back, the band has broadened its palette, sliding toward darker and sometimes more abrasive hues, while keeping that sense of the hook and the build-ups that land on stage.
As the opening act, Greywind brings their emotional alternative rock, powered by the Irish duo Steph O’Sullivan (vocals) and Paul O’Sullivan (guitar). Their approach is direct: thick guitars, clear melodies, and a tension that sits on the surface, in the vein of Afterthoughts and more recent tracks such as Antidote.
