Born in Boston in the early 2000s, the band initially navigated between post-hardcore, emo and metal before narrowing its identity to a potent blend: sharp riffs, alternating clean vocals and distorted voices, melodic choruses and arrangements sometimes almost symphonic.
Across albums and tours, Ice Nine Kills has mainly developed a real culture of concept. From Every Trick in the Book, each track becomes a narrative, then the band pushes the staging even further with The Silver Scream and Welcome to Horrorwood, two albums fed by the imagery of horror cinema. On stage, this theatrical dimension is not mere scenery: it serves taut, driving music, crafted for impact, between metalcore precision and a knack for memorable choruses.
