Info
The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band has performed in 38 countries and 48 states. It has been the subject of articles in Rolling Stone, Living Blues, and Elmore magazines, graced the cover of Vintage Guitar, ranked No. 1 on Billboard, on iTunes, and on Sirius XM's blues charts, and was nominated for three Blues Music Awards by the Blues Foundation of Memphis. The Indianapolis Star named Reverend Peyton among the 25 best Hoosier musicians of all time. Often described as an important blues group, the Big Damn Band is led by Reverend Peyton, regarded as a renowned fingerstyle guitarist. Rev has forged a reputation as both a singularly captivating artist and a persuasive evangelist for roots and country blues styles that have captivated his imagination since his youth and inspired him and his band to make pilgrimages to Clarksdale, Mississippi, to study with blues masters such as T-Model Ford, Robert Belfour, and David "Honeyboy" Edwards. Accompanied by his wife, Breezy Peyton, the washboard player, and driven by the deep grooves of Jacob "The Snakob" Powell, Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band will have you clap your hands, stamp your feet, and sing along at every intimate concert, including at the Georges Brassens Space. Their new album Honeysuckle was produced and recorded by Reverend Peyton and mixed by Vance Powell (Chris Stapleton, Jack White), a six-time Grammy Award winner.
