Info

Nick Hakim plays The Workman’s Club in Dublin on 30 October 2026. Born in Washington, D.C. and based in New York, he’s built a space between neo-soul, alternative R&B and a psychedelic, dream‑pop haze. Raised in a Chilean‑Peruvian household and first heard in a church choir, he studied at Berklee before self‑releasing the twin EPs Where Will We Go (2014). Green Twins (2017) set the tone with a supple voice and slow, textured arrangements; Will This Make Me Good (2020) pushed further into collage, introspection and rough‑edged electronics. Small Things (2021) with Roy Nathanson and Onyx Collective strengthened his ties to a New York scene where jazz, soul and improvisation meet, while Cometa (2022) leaned into lighter, more organic writing.

On stage, Hakim moves between tender ballads and vaporous grooves, leaving room for space, tape‑worn keys and guitar loops. Along the way he’s worked with Terence Nance, Erykah Badu, Lil Yachty and Adrianne Lenker, mapping connections between songcraft, indie R&B and exploratory currents. Live at The Workman’s Club, 10 Wellington Quay, Dublin.
