Info
On 27 June 2026, Pinhani brings its blend of Turkish alternative rock and folk to Islington Assembly Hall in London. The Istanbul band first stepped into the spotlight in 2006 with the debut album İnandığın Masallar, then kept writing and touring steadily, releasing six more records along the way, including Yollar Bizi Bekler in 2019. On stage, their songwriting leans on clear melodies and an acoustic pulse, while folding in motifs from regional traditions.
Led by songwriter and vocalist Sinan Kaynakcı, the group features Selim Aydın on bass, Hami Ünlü on drums and Eray Polat on guitar, with occasional appearances from guitarist Akın Eldes and multi-instrumentalist Ertan Şahin. Live, Pinhani expands its palette with kemençe, tulum, bağlama and zurna, instruments that color their arrangements without losing the band’s rock backbone. The set typically roams through early favorites and newer titles, shifting between intimate songs and more driving segments, and connecting the dots between contemporary songwriting and the folk textures that have long shaped their sound. Regularly heard across Turkey and Europe, Pinhani arrives in London with a show built around craft, interplay and a warm, acoustic-electric blend.
