Info
On 12 November 2026 at The Grove, Newcastle upon Tyne, lots of hands and Sundots share a quiet, detail‑oriented bill shaped by folk roots and careful electronics.
Born from the songs of Billy Woodhouse and now a duo with Elliot Dryden, lots of hands grew between Newcastle and Leeds, first as a solitary project, then as a back‑and‑forth writing mode. Their music leans on loops of guitar, close‑miked voices and light electronic motifs, moving from hushed ballads to short instrumental passages. The material from into a pretty room, released on Fire Talk Records, distills their method: stripped folk figures, bright textures and a patient sense of form. On stage, the duo plays with space and repetition, letting melodies surface through small shifts and shared timing.
From Connecticut, Sundots is led by Drew Collins, active in experimental circles before turning toward song with a more direct pen. The project threads freak folk, ambient, slowcore and indie rock at low tempo, where discreet textures carry the same weight as the chorus. Lyrics often follow a clear line of thought, touching on youth, attachment and personal change. Honeyspot, released in 2024, tightens this approach into a band dynamic without losing intimacy. Live, Sundots favors soft dynamics and slow builds, giving room to detail and the grain of each instrument.
