Thylacine

Thylacine, aka William Rezé, is back on the move. On March 5, 2027 at La Coopérative de Mai in Clermont-Ferrand, he unfolds a live set shaped on the road: melodic techno, ambient and downtempo rhythms blend with his saxophonist’s ear, between patient loops and clear harmonies. From Transsiberian to Roads Vol. 1 and 2, and Timeless, he composes far from fixed studios. For Roads Vol. 3 he once again went into exile, embarking on a three-month journey across a new continent in his 1972 Airstream converted into a mobile studio. Captured atmospheres, encounters, live takes and experiments behind the wheel feed the tracks that are written along the way.

On stage, Thylacine projects these journeys in sound and in images shot on the road. The set moves through layers and slow progressions, electronic tensions and more pronounced pulses, with melody remaining in command. It crosses the Andes, the Faroe Islands, Turkey and other stops, carrying that taste for travel that unsettles his routines and redraws his palette. A moment to grasp the state of his sonic quest and to glimpse the contours of Roads Vol. 3.
