Jahneration

Jahneration, a Parisian duo formed in 2009 by Théo and Ogach, traded their punk-rock beginnings for a reggae sound nourished by hip-hop and tinged with dancehall. Musicians since childhood, they compose, write and sing in English blended with Jamaican patois, a language they cultivate through regular stays in Jamaica. In 2017 they recorded with their band at Tuff Gong Studios, the Marley family’s stronghold.

Their trajectory has also been shaped by encounters and collaborations: Naâman as early as 2011 with “Me Nah Fed Up,” followed by work with Alborosie, Queen Omega, Manu Chao, Dub Inc and Danakil. Signed to the independent label Ovastand in 2015, they performed extensively across France, the overseas territories, Europe and as far afield as India and Canada, and have released six albums that established a contemporary reggae—balancing melodic choruses with rap-infused flows.

At L’Olympia in Paris on April 2, 2027, Jahneration returns, surrounded by their musicians, with a set conceived as a panorama of these years on the road: standout tracks, collaborations and new productions, between roots tradition and digital textures.
