Modestep

Modestep lands in Wrocław on 23 November 2026 at Klub Łącznik. Born in London around brothers Josh and Tony Friend, the project took shape in the late 2000s, blending dubstep, drum and bass, electronic rock and a touch of alt-rock. First noticed through online radio shows and early singles like Feel Good, Sunlight and To the Stars, Modestep pushed through with the debut album Evolution Theory in 2013, then widened the palette on London Road in 2015 with sung choruses, guitars and bass-driven production.

From 2017 onward, the project gradually centred on Josh Friend, with releases on Never Say Die, Monstercat, Disciple and UKF, leaning into a more direct meeting point between modern dubstep and drum and bass. The EPs Echoes and Dawn (2019) sharpened that line, followed by Diamonds in 2022. Since Pat Lundy’s departure, Modestep continues under Josh Friend’s sole signature, capped by the 2025 release Give Up The Ghost.

On stage, expect a tight run through this evolution: rugged low-end and halftime weight, drum and bass tempos, sung hooks and guitar textures folded into a live format built for impact without excess.
