President

On 1 November 2026, Slaktkyrkan welcomes President, the anonymous UK project that threads metalcore, alternative metal, alt-pop and electronica through political and religious imagery. Led by a masked frontman known only as The President, the show is framed like a campaign rally, with visuals and slogans drawing the audience into the narrative. The music moves from dense, low-tuned riffs to clear melodic passages, cut with cold synth textures. Themes of spirituality, mortality and existential dread run through the lyrics, while sharp transitions keep the energy shifting from track to track.

Launched in 2025 and announced on the Download Festival bill before any release, President grew from a solo idea into a full lineup with Heist on guitar, Protest on bass and Vice on drums. A first wave of singles — “In The Name of the Father”, “Fearless”, “Rage” and “Destroy Me” — paved the way for the self-produced EP King of Terrors the same year, outlining the character of The President and his fictional campaign. With a debut album in development, the live set pushes that concept further, blending narrative cues with direct, physical playing built for a venue like Slaktkyrkan in Johanneshov.
