Currents come from Fairfield, Connecticut with a sound that balances jagged riffs, tense rhythms and atmospheric breaks. Across The Place I Feel Safest, The Way It Ends and The Death We Seek, the band has tightened the dialogue between harsh and clean vocals, pushing dynamics without losing hooks. Themes of introspection and social pressure run through their tracks, and on stage they pivot between weighty breakdowns and melodic swells with a clear sense of tension and release.
From Birmingham, Alabama, Erra brings a progressive slant built around Jesse Cash’s intricate guitar work and the push-pull between screamed and melodic vocals. From Impulse and Augment to the self-titled Erra and Cure, the group explores complex structures, airy textures and dense grooves, playing with contrast while keeping a keen ear for melody.
Leeds outfit Caskets opens with a more overtly melodic edge: big choruses, percussive guitars and a touch of synth work. Lost Souls and Reflections map their blend of post-hardcore energy and pop-shaped structures, setting the tone before the headliners take over.
