On Wednesday, 12 August 2026, La Route du Rock – Collection Été 34 takes over La Nouvelle Vague in Saint-Malo with a bill led by Just Mustard, Gurriers and Elias Rønnenfelt.
Just Mustard, formed in Ireland, operates on the edge of shoegaze, trip-hop and post-rock. After Wednesday and Heart Under (on Partisan Records), the band arrives with We Were Just Here, a third album that broadens their spectrum without abandoning distorted guitars, deep bass and a pronounced focus on sound. Katie Ball’s airy voice soars over dense textures, between mechanical pulse and melodic vertigo.
Elias Rønnenfelt, singer and lyricist of Iceage, continues here on a solo trajectory. Having passed through Marching Church and Vår, he narrows his writing around voice and text, explores more stripped-down forms and a minimalist tension, while retaining a post-punk grounding and experimental leanings.
Gurriers completes the bill. Three approaches to contemporary rock gathered at La Nouvelle Vague, Saint-Malo, for a notable stop on La Route du Rock.
