Info

Fiddlehead bring their Boston-bred post-hardcore to EartH Hall in London on 22 August 2026. Formed in 2014 by vocalist Patrick Flynn with Shawn Costa, Alex Henery, Alex Dow and Nick Hinsch, the band hones a tense, melodic strain of hardcore that keeps urgency front and center without losing the pull of a strong chorus. After Springtime and Blind (2018) and Between the Richness (2021), they pushed the thread further on Death Is Nothing to Us (2023), a record that ties their catalog together musically and lyrically while turning the gain up.

On stage, Fiddlehead move fast and hit hard, flipping from abrasive riffs to big melodies, held together by Flynn’s tuneful rasp. His lyrics face grief head-on, tracing the stickiness of sadness and the contradictions that come with it, while nodding to thinkers like Lucretius or writers like Jean Améry and to a lineage of punk and ‘90s alternative. Working again with producer Chris Teti, the newer songs land with punch and clarity, sitting between the bite of their debut and the melodic sensibilities of their second album. Expect a set that threads early staples with the sharper edges of Death Is Nothing to Us, confronting darkness to make space for something human and direct.
