On 4 June 2026, Katie Gregson-MacLeod brings her songs to The Folklore Rooms in Brighton and Hove. Raised in the Scottish Highlands at her mother’s piano and on family musicals, she writes story-led folk-pop with lyrics up front. Early work like her self-released 2018 EP Games I Play set a sparse, unadorned frame; in 2022, the piano ballad Complex went viral on TikTok, carrying her beyond the local scene. After a spell with a major, she moved in early 2024 to Last Recordings on Earth, the label run by Matt Maltese, choosing a leaner, EP-focused path. On stage, voice and piano stay central while the songs circle nostalgia, shifting power dynamics and introspection, with melodies that leave room for the words.
