Sex Shop Mushrooms is a band from the Paris grunge scene, known for its unrestrained and powerful approach. Formed at the end of 2022, the group is made up of Timothée Leporini (vocals/guitar), Giulia Vinciguerra (drums), Victor Cresseaux (guitar) and Cyprien Ortuno (bass). Their mantra, “Break norms, sound loud,” resonates through every note, riff and performance.

At the crossroads of 1990s grunge and a contemporary energy, their debut album God Doesn’t Exist, self-released in October 2024, amassed half a million streams and hundreds of physical copies sold. It was mentioned by Rolling Stone, Libération and Oui FM. Their music bears the influence of the 1990s Seattle scene in its lyrics, vocals and textures that are both abrasive and mesmerizing. Sex Shop Mushrooms is part of the grunge revival in France.

The band has played the main stage at Xtreme Fest, at the Fête de l’Humanité, as the opening act for Pogo Car Crash Control, and in several Parisian venues (La Boule Noire, Point Éphémère). After around one hundred concerts across France, the group has become known on the French grunge scene.

Sex Shop Mushrooms returns with their second album, conceived for the stage, which tackles personal and social themes. Mixed and mastered by Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney), it blends aggressive tones with raw production. 131217 has been available since January 30, 2026 on No Need Name Records.
