Info
Francis of Delirium lands at The Cluny in Newcastle upon Tyne on 18 September 2026. Led by Luxembourger Jana Bahrich, the project moves in a chiaroscuro indie-rock mode: taut guitars, rhythms that build tension, and clear melodies carried by direct songwriting. After the debut album Lighthouse (2024) — featuring “Real Love,” “First Touch,” “Blue Tuesday” and “Give It Back to Me” — Jana returns with “Little Black Dress,” a track conceived for the stage that captures the momentum, chaos and disappointment of a night that doesn’t go as planned.
On stage, Francis of Delirium plays up close and without artifice. Tours across Europe, the UK and North America, a live session at KEXP and a summer of festivals have sharpened the set without smoothing it out. Opening slots for bôa, Blondshell and Alanis Morissette have broadened their reach, while the opening track from Lighthouse, “Ballet Dancers (Never Love Again),” slipped into Lena Dunham’s Netflix series Too Much. Between indie tension, dreamier clearings and a voice that says things bluntly, the concert outlines Francis of Delirium’s signature: concise, sensitive songs cut for the live stage.
